Development notice
The Raw Creative 2.5 build platform is currently under development. At this stage, build instructions are available for the belt version of the machine. Instructions for the electronics, ball screw version and other machine variants will be added shortly.
Early Access gives you access to the platform while it grows, and more documentation, videos and resources will be added over time.
You can visit the website dedicated to this machine here: https://creative.rawcnc.com/
Build it your way — and support the project
This product is made for builders who want everything organized in one place: drawings, DXF files, BOM lists, calculators, illustrations, build notes, video material and practical tips.
By purchasing this access, you also support the continued development of the Raw Creative project. Your support helps us create more videos, improve the documentation, develop better calculators, test new parts and keep the project moving forward.
If you want to save time, avoid guessing and support the project at the same time, this access package is the easiest way to get started.

Drawings, video instructions, BOM lists, calculators and builder resources for building your own Raw Creative 2.5 CNC machine.
The Raw Creative 2.5 is an open DIY CNC machine project that you can build yourself. The machine can be built without buying this access package, but this product is made to make the build much easier, faster and more structured.
When you purchase access, you get entry to the Raw Creative 2.5 build platform, where we collect the important build information in one place. This includes drawings, DXF files, BOM lists, calculators, illustrations, Forum, video instructions, tips and tricks, and other resources that help you plan and build your machine.
The Raw Creative 2.5 is available in different build versions, including the standard rack and timing belt version and the more compact ball screw version. The build platform helps you understand the differences between the versions and choose the parts that match the machine you want to build.
The build is based on metric measurements. All drawings, calculators and dimensions are made in millimetres. If you are used to inches, you can still build the machine, but you should be prepared to work from metric drawings and measurements.
You will also get access to supporting material connected to the Raw Creative 2.5 video series, including information related to the Mindsparx build videos and additional resources on the RawCNC website.
This is not a finished machine kit. It is a build access product for people who want to source parts, understand the machine and build their own CNC with better guidance along the way.

Machine sizes
The Raw Creative 2.5 can be built in several standard sizes, or as a custom size depending on your workshop and the type of work you want to do.
Standard frame sizes:
75 machine – 745 x 990 mm
100 machine – 990 x 990 mm
150 machine – 1495 x 990 mm
200 machine – 1995 x 1320 mm
Custom size
You can also build the machine in a custom size. The standard belt and rack version can be scaled up to larger frames, while the ball screw version is mainly intended for compact builds.
Inside the build platform you will find a frame calculator that helps estimate aluminium profile lengths, cutting area, belts, racks, guide rails, ball screws and cable lengths.
Use the calculator at creative.rawcnc.com to explore the different machine sizes and plan your own Raw Creative 2.5 build.
Note: Cutting sizes and part lengths are estimated values and may vary slightly depending on setup and configuration.

How much does it cost to build a Raw Creative 2.5?
The total cost depends on machine size, component choices and how much you can make yourself.
Most builds will end up around EUR 900 and up depending on size and quality of parts. A smaller machine with self-cut plates, simpler electronics or carefully selected used parts can be built closer to EUR 900.
The Raw Creative 2.5 is not built around cheap plastic wheels or weak hobby parts. It uses proper aluminium profiles, steel plates, linear rails and real mechanical components. This makes it more expensive than the simplest DIY routers, but much stronger and more useful in return.
Because you build the machine yourself, you stay in control of the budget. You can start with a smaller machine, source parts locally and upgrade certain parts later.
Compared to buying a finished CNC machine with similar construction, the Raw Creative 2.5 is still a very cost-effective way to build a serious CNC machine.
Before buying parts, we recommend going through the BOM lists first to get an idea of the total build cost.
The Raw Creative 2.5 is built from quality components and is more expensive to build than a very simple DIY machine. However, the result is a stronger, more capable CNC machine with better mechanical parts and a more serious construction.
