Product Description

This upgrade will make your Z-axis stronger and smoother. The screw is changed from Trapezoidal screw to a 16mm balls crew with ball screw nut and housing. The block bearings are wider apart in all directions to stabilize the unit. The new Z-axis unit is 4-5cm longer that the standard Z-axis.

The plates come unpainted. For anyone that has a machine build by us can have the plates painted in the same color as our original red paint for free, just request that in the comment when placing the order.

To keep the price down you will reuse some parts from your old z-axis unit. For Raw Creative machines we need to add parts and that option is more expensive.

When you upgrade to ball screws, the settings for the Z motor must be changed, In Mach3, go to “Config / Motor tuning” and select Z-motor and fill in these values:
