HPL is a very good alternative to steel or aluminium. With HPL, you get almost the same strength as aluminium. The price is cheaper, the weight is low, the density is high and the strength of the material is the closest to metal you can get without needing special tools to process it.

HPL is widely used by hobbyists as it can be cut and drilled. The best results will be with a CNC machine, but if you build a machine, you can first cut out everything by hand and then cut new parts when the machine is built. If you cut HPL with a CNC machine, we recommend aluminum cutters with 1-flute. The result is mirror glossy with the right settings.

Another advantage of the HPL we sell is that it is colored and has a very impact-resistant surface that fits well in a workshop.

As the material has a dark core, the dark can shine through somewhat, but that is how the material is constructed.

The board is sawn to shape, therefore bends in the board may occur.
